What is urology?
Urology is responsible for the medical and surgical treatment of various disorders and diseases of the urinary tract (men and women), as well as disorders of the genital tract (men), through a wide range of medical and surgical treatments. This discipline is primarily surgical, but also includes a wide range of non-surgical procedures.

Continuous professional development
The mission of the Continuing Professional Development (CPD) Committee of the Association des urologues du Québec (AUQ) is to promote excellence in urology through innovative, relevant and evidence-based educational programs, in order to maintain and perfect the professional knowledge and skills of urologists and improve the quality of care offered to patients.

QUA Foundation
The Foundation was officially created at the 1999 Annual General Meeting. The Foundation was subsequently accredited as a non-profit organization at the end of 2000.
The Foundation's objectives are as follows:
To promote the quality of urology in Quebec by awarding scholarships and fellowships to residents and urologists, and grants to stimulate clinical and basic research.
